The Office of Sustainability, in conjunction with the Division of School Facilities, Schools Construction Authority, and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection Office of Green Infrastructure, offer guidance to schools that wish to pursue a green roof on their building.

Over 600 students from all 5 boroughs and all grade levels participated in the annual energy efficiency art contest. The art work was used to create the NYC DOE Energy Efficiency 2013-2014 and can be downloaded here. Humphrey was awarded the NWF Green Flag, the first ever for a New York City school. They were also nominated by New York State for the U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Program.
