Green Cup Energy Challenge
is an annual month-long, inter-school competition that empowers students and builds community, while raising awareness about climate change and the importance of energy conservation. Any school in the DOE can participate.
Green Cup Recycling Challenge
raises awareness about recycling waste reduction. This challenge generates excitement and encourages good habits that last long after the challenge ends.
Green Design Lab Energy Challenge
get students and staff involved in cutting down electricity use in their buildings. The challenge runs from November to February and is part of the Green Design Lab curriculum!

allows you to re-use your schools empty milk cartons to build a sculpture for your school and classroom. It is a great way to express your schools artistic and creative side while being clean!
Water Resources Art & Poetry
contest allows 2nd to 12th graders to create an original art and compose poetry that reflects an appreciation for our shared water resources

Eco-Schools USA is an international green school program run by the National Wildlife Federation. This comprehensive program provides a seven-step framework that can guide schools through sustainability plans and action items. Once the schools accomplish seven steps, schools can receive recognition at three award levels: Bronze, Silver and Green Flag. Find out more and fill out the
The U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools award honors schools that are exemplary in reducing environmental impact and costs; improving the health and wellness of students and staff; and providing effective environmental and sustainability education.
