    • What are my responsibilities as a facility manager?

      To manage the collection and continued separation of recyclables and organics within the building and placement at the curb for DSNY pickup, and to optimize building operations to reduce energy usage. 
    • I'm having problems with Department of Sanitation pickup. What should I do?

      The Office of Sustainability can put you in contact with the DSNY district office that services your area. Check out the DOE-DSNY Communication Protocol on the How To Do page.
    • I've spoken with DSNY, but still having issues with pickup. What should I do?

      The Office of Sustainability can help you troubleshoot the issue. Follow the instructions in the Communication Protocol we'll assist!
    • I need a special pickup of a large amount of waste. What should I do?

      We can coordinate a special pickup of items or that a container be dropped off for a major clean-out. Collect the information listed in the special collection instructions on the "How To Do" page and email it to sustainability@schools.nyc.gov
