About the Program

Connected Learning is a comprehensive, multi-year program for middle schools that seek to: support highly-effective and technology-intensive teaching; deepen the home/school connection; strengthen in-school tech capacity; and narrow the digital dividein underserved communities.

Participating Schools

Over the course of the grant, 75 schools have participated. 40 schools were accepted to participate for the 2012-13 school year—twelve Bronx schools, nine Brooklyn schools, fourteen Manhattan schools, four Queens schools, and one Staten Island School.

Promising Practices

A resource collection developed in Connected Learning schools, documenting innovation and effective examples of Professional Development, Building Technological and Pedagogical Capacity, and Family Engagement.
