Common Sense Media is an independent nonprofit organization that believes that every kid deserves a chance to thrive in the world of media and technology. With comprehensive videos and tips on cyberbullying, social networking sites, mobile phones and more, Common Sense provides balanced guidance that helps the adult mentors in kids' lives equip them to behave thoughtfully, respectfully, and safely in their digital lives. The CUNY Institute for Software Design and Development (CISDD), a university-wide consortium created by the Board of Trustees as part of CUNY's economic development initiative, works to encourage the growth of the local software industry and high-tech job sector.
