    Mike Lanaghan was part of my founding team when I opened Metropolitan in
2005. He had a lot of responsibility and was a great support to me in developing
the school. He also seemed to look at problems, not just from the classroom level
but with a whole-school perspective. Having been through the process with me as
our school opened, he definitely had a clear understanding of the challenges that
new schools face.
