The New District School application process, also known as Design and Development (D&D), is a rigorous, four-phase process intended to evaluate aspiring new school leaders and their proposed school models.Throughout D&D, Office of New School staff members work with applicants in order to assess their leadership capacity, their instructional expertise, and their commitment to the students of New York City. We Assess all Applicants Using Our Leadership Criteria: Eligibility Requirements: In order to lead a New District School, candidates must have their administrative credentials or have applied to a program to receive their administrative credentials (SBL) when submitting their new school application.
