On November 20, 2017 the NYCDOE presented and submitted a rezoning proposal to Community Education Council 8 (CEC 8) proposing to change the current elementary school zones for P.S. 14, P.S./M.S. 71 and P.S. 72, as well as create zones for P.S. 304 and Bronx Delta, beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. This proposal also includes a small change to existing middle school zones in Throgs Neck.
In accordance with chancellor’s Regulation A-185, CEC 8 will have 45 days to officially vote on this proposed rezoning and the NYCDOE anticipates that CEC 8 will formally vote on this proposal at its meeting on December 20, 2017.
