PRESENTED: District 30 Proposed Middle School Rezoning Plan for Implementation during the 2015-2016 School Year

Proposal Information

The Department of Education (DOE) presented a proposal to rezone the area surrounding I.S. 145 and I.S. 230 in an effort to alleviate overcrowding at I.S. 145; to account for the capacity of I.S. 230’s new annex, new building Q297, located at 74-03 34th Avenue, that is slated to open in September 2014 and; to equalize utilization across I.S. 230 and I.S. 145.

The DOE and the Community Superintendent presented this proposal to the Community Education Council for District 30 (CEC 30) on December 6, 2013 at P.S. 69 and on January 13, 2014 at I.S. 145. CEC 30 expects to vote on this proposed rezoning plan during a monthly Calendar meeting on February 13, 2014. You can download informational resources using the links below.
