Home and Study Links are designed to allow students to practice the skills and concepts they have learned during the lessons. Look at the Home/Study Link that corresponds to the lesson of the day. Consider:
- Is it appropriate for your students?
- Can you ask them to complete only some of the questions on the Home/Study Link instead of requiring every problem to be completed?
- Is there another way to allow students to reinforce what they learned? Can they make a coin booklet, create a geometric design, or explain the concept to a friend in a letter?
- Can the Home/Study Link be modified to make it more accessible for students who are not yet proficient in that skill?
- Can the Home/Study Link be adapted to challenge students who have demonstrated mastery of the lesson content?
- How will you review the Home/Study Link – whole class, in small groups, in partnerships?
- What follow up will you provide?
