My son, student Elliot Nixon, at age twelve was participating in the volunteer school/community service program at P.S./I.S.270 Queens titiled, "Each One, Reach One, Teach One." He inquired with Mrs.Ende if he could tutor her fourth grade students in the subject of mathematics,(his idea not mine). This was a subject that he as an third grader had great difficulty with but, had now mastered. It was because of this opportunity that Elliot has discovered that he enjoys teaching and has made the decision to become an educator. His first choice of High School is the Queens High School of Teaching, Liberal Arts and the Sciences. We thank Mrs. Ende very much and will continue to do so in the coming years. There are always some teachers you will never forget and she is one of them. Once a child discovers what he/she likes to do its never considered work their just getting paid for doing something they enjoy! What could be better? Thank you Mrs. Ende from Elliot and Carmen Nixon.
