I am now a 30 year old mother of two young boys and what Ms. Callender (now, Mrs. Hightower) taught me has stayed with me throughout the years. I remember vividly, the things she taught and the manner in which she taught them and try to use those same technique's with my own children. I currently work at PS 49 in the Bronx as a Pre-K Family Assistant and thank Ms. Callender for helping me realize that helping the community where I grew up is where I needed to be.
