Mrs. Lopez had my child for second and third grade. She loved the class so much she asked to loop with them to the next grade. Her teaching methods were excellent. She used techniques that were fun to get the kids to understand the work. Her efforts showed by the city tests scores. She also had a reward system which I loved. The kids would earn tickets for a number of things. These things included such things as good work, good participation, if the child was helpful to one of his or her peers etc. The kids really responded to this positive reinforcement. I feel my daughter learned a lot from her and she really prepared her for the fourth grade. We miss having her as a teacher. My daughter still talks about her all the time. She really made an impression in her life.
