Gregory Pagliarulo, Global Studies Teacher, Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences

"Mr. P" was so much more than a teacher for me and his other students. He was someone we could look up to and admire; someone to go to for advice, and even just an ear if we needed to talk. High school is tough for students. We adjust to so much in such a short time, and need to be prepared for so much at the same time. He made this transition between learning about high school, and preparing for college a smooth one. He took the time to develop personal relationships with his students by sharing his life experiences. He just was all around a great person to look up to and have during those four trying years. I always remember laughing and learning in his classes. He always tried to do what he could to understand us, even if we didn't make sense to others. His compassion and heart was obvious from day one in his class. He deserves much more than thanks, but I guess it will have to suffice.
