Ms. Puddu was a special teacher, and she's partly the reason why I teach now. I can recall not even thinking about going to college. I had other teachers tell me that I belonged in Special Education courses. She would say to me all the time "I want you to let me know when you graduate college." I used to think she was crazy. Now that I've gone as far as my master's degree, I realize that it was her constant voice- and belief in my abilities- that made me partly who I've become. I'm going to investigate if she's still around because she's been an integral part of my career, and should know it!
