In all my years of going to school, I have never experienced a man so dedicated to his work and to his students than Mr. Silverman. Although Mr. Silverman had no period 9 class, and could have went home early he insisted on staying an extra period, to make sure any student could come to him for tutoring. Mr. Silverman was always fair about his tests, reviewing all questions and rarely overturning his answers or eliminating questions altogether that he saw unfit. Mr. Silverman's class was never boring and he always tried to draw world-to-history connections so we never got bored. He never raised his voice, and treated us as if we were adults. One example would be his beliefs on homework. Although he gave few homework assignments, they were long and were due once every week. He didn't mind if you handed it a day or two late, but he graded each one meticulously, and made sure he gave each paper the proper critique. His projects were very interesting. Mr. Silverman was the best teacher I ever had.
