I want to say thank you to Mrs. Smith, who taught my son last year in 2nd grade, for being such a wonderful teacher to my son and a wonderful friend to me. She was and is such an inspiration to my son, Thomson. She truly cares about the kids that she comes in contact with. She takes the time to understand each and every child and is able to bring the best out of them. She also takes the time out for parents and keeps us connected to the development of our children. She understands our concerns and helps us when we worry about our children and how they are doing. Her love and care of her students does not stop when they move on to another grade. She still watches out for their welfare and development. On a daily base, you can find her past students stopping by her door just to say hi to her, that action speaks louder than any words on how wonderful a teacher she is. I am truly grateful that my son had her last year and that she continues to be a friend to us now.
