VE Law and VE Management, VE companies at New Dorp H.S coordinate student-volunteer effort to fight hunger on Staten Island.

The VE students at New Dorp High School, are heading up the student efforts at their school to collect items of non-perishable food for the 19th Annual Bread of Life Food Drive, sponsored by The University of Notre Dame Alumni Club of Staten Island. The students of VE Law and VE Management & Insurance will be part of a Staten Island-wide effort that includes 104 Public and Private schools in collecting over 60,000 items of food to help 25 Not-For-Profit agencies on Staten Island that serve people and families in need at their food pantries and shelters. The New Dorp VE Students are all ready collecting items of food for the Bread of Life, and will conclude their food collection on Friday, March 26,2010." The teacher coordinator for both VE companies at New Dorp H.S is Paul Presti.

A.C.T, Professionals, the VE firm at Norman Thomas HS in New York City, working with The Office of the Mayor to help promote the Earned Income Tax Credit throughout the five boroughs.

The Norman Thomas VE students of Accounting, Consulting, Tax Professionals, a professional service Firm modeled after their corporate sponsor Deloitte & Touche, LLP, is actively promoting the Earned Income Tax Credit Program by distributing multi-lingual flyers to New York City, "low-income wage earners, i.e. people earning between $17,000 dollars and $43,000 dollars. Most, if not all of the A.C.T. Professionals, speak a second language and these students are helping to spread the word about the benefits of filing an Earned Income Tax Credit form. Thanks to the efforts of the VE Volunteers from Norman Thomas, and other EITC Volunteers, the New York City economy receives millions of dollars back into city's economy, in the way of Earned income Tax Credit refund checks.
