Public School 6 has taken many 
giant steps since its opening in 
September 1993.  The focus of our school 
is the use of technology in all academic 
areas to prepare our students for the 
requirements of a 21st Century society. 
 Our technologically advanced Computer 
Lab is rapidly expanding in the area of 
multimedia.  Students access the 
internet to take advantage of its many 
offerings.  Both students and their 
teachers acquire information through 
research on the internet.  
	Science is enriched with 
extensive use of  "Windows on Science" 
laser disc series.  Reading, Mathematics 
and all curriculum areas come to life 
with the use of CD ROM programs.  Our 
spacious lending library features a 
listening center, a multimedia center 
and a comprehensive multicultural 
center.
	Children are encouraged to use 
the stage and drama center to re-enact 
their favorite stories.  Our students 
put on many plays which are a extension 
of Project Arts department.
