Here are some projects we are working on: Project REACH (Reading Each Afternoon Changes Habits) is a school wide project designed to include a love for reading through evening reinforcement and parental involvement. It's focus is to help students with both reading competency and comprehension and to integrate all subject areas with reading. As such, students are required to read, from any source, for at least twenty minutes per night and to keep individual month Reading Logs. Writing projects and common language and usage exercises are included. Each class received books for class libraries and sets of trade books for student/teacher use. Other projects include: October Character Day October Read-a-thon November Annual Spelling Bee April Hat Day April Postal Service Penpal Club May Haitian Flag Day May Kindergarten Fair June Kindergarten Promotional Ceremony June Senior Day June 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony |
