We at M. S. 340 have an 
integrated curriculum of Science, 
Technology and Communication Arts.  Our 
school’s population is very diverse, 
representing 38 different countries. 
Requirements for admission: each child 
must meet certain criteria, i. e., 
performance levels 3 or 4, passing 
entrance examination, and teacher 
recommendation. There are computers in 
every classroom and the school 
library.Our technology lab boasts 
a variety of curriculum-related programs 
including the usage of Netscape 
Navigator and iMovie software. We are 
within walking distance of many cultural 
institutions such as the Brooklyn 
Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, 
Grand Army Plaza Library, all of which 
our students visit frequently.
