Need to enroll in school for the 2024-2025 school year? Visit one of our temporary enrollment locations from August 12 through September 13, 2024. Our temporary enrollment locations are open Mondays through Thursdays, 8am-5pm, and Fridays, 8am-3pm. On Friday September 13, our temporary enrollment locations will close at 1:00pm.

Family Welcome Centers will return to their normal locations on September 16.
Family Welcome Centers (FWCs) serve NYC families all year round with enrollment and admissions by appointment. FWCs can support with:
- Transferring your child to another NYC public school
- Enrolling your child in NYC public Schools
- Applying for 3-K, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Middle and High School
How to Get Help
Enrolling at your zoned school:
Most elementary and middle school students can enroll directly at their zoned school, without having to visit a Family Welcome Center. To find your zoned school, follow these instructions:
- Visit schoolsearch.schools.nyc and enter your address in the School Name or Address search bar.
- In the Grade dropdown, choose your child's grade level.
- In the Borough dropdown, select the borough where you live.
- Click the Search button.
- Look for zoned schools under "Current Zoned Schools."
Note: The following districts do not have zoned schools:
- Elementary (Kindergarten-5th grade): Districts 1, 7 and 23
- Middle school (6th-8th grade): Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 23.
Families who reside in these districts should contact the Family Welcome Center for placement.
Families in need of high school placements should contact the Family Welcome Center.
