POSITION:

Mathematics teachers who are implementing Imagine Learning curriculum in SY 2024-25 in Grades 6-12, approximately 500 positions available.

 

LOCATION:

Division of Curriculum and Instruction citywide locations TDB; professional development remote sessions

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • NYCDOE licensed and appointed teacher of Common Branches, Grades 5-9 or Grades 7-12 teacher certified in Math
  • Current employment in a New York City public school
  • At least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within NYC Public Schools
  • At least three (3) years of satisfactory time and attendance
  • District superintendent and/or Principal recommendation
  • Must be a teacher in a district participating in the High Quality Instructional Materials Curriculum rollout.
  • Must be a teacher teaching Illustrative Mathematics in SY 24-25

 

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Preference will be given to applicants who are implementing Imagine Learning curriculum in SY 2024-25.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend in person and virtual professional development sessions leading to be prepared to implement the Imagine Learning curriculum in SY 2024-25.
  • Active participation in all aspects of sessions; for virtual PD sessions this includes: logging on from a desktop or laptop computer with working camera that is turned on, participation in the main room, break-out room discussions and posting in chat, Peardeck and similar activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and program staff on implementation strategies of new curriculum
  • Effective and timely response to ongoing feedback and recommendations from colleagues and supervisors

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Various dates and times including during Summer 2024. Schedules will be determined by need and availability.

Hours up to, but not limited to 200 hours. Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

 

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
