POSITION:

  • Summer 2024 Related Services Payroll Secretary (approximately 4 positions)

     

    LOCATION:

  • Various New York City Department of Education locations; ORS locations TBD

     

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed NYCDOE Payroll Secretary

     

    SELECTION CRITERIA:

    • At least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within the NYCDOE.
    • Currently working or retired from the NYCDOE as a licensed DOE payroll secretary.
    • Well versed with Chancellor’s Regulation C-175 and NYDOE Per Session timekeeping.
    • Trained and authorized to enter payroll.
    • Knowledge of timekeeping for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other related services titles is preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, for staff attendance and appointment scheduling/rescheduling a plus.
    • Record of satisfactory work performance.
    • Excellent record of attendance and punctuality.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to perform office tasks, including scanning, photocopying, and emailing.

      DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Work under the direct supervision of respective Related Services operations teams and respective program managers to ensure that Cybershift and per-session timesheets are processed on schedule according to NYCDOE standard operating procedures.
      • Demonstrate capacity to relate with respectful, effective communication, and interpersonal skills with RS providers, school administrators, Cybershift unit.
      • Collect and review timesheets for per session employees working in related services activities and enter overtime payroll in EIS, TBNK Per Session, and Cybershift systems.
      • Perform payroll and attendance tasks using DOE systems and Microsoft applications.
      • Must attend scheduled staff meetings related to specific program operations.

        WORK SCHEDULE:

      • Various dates and times aligning with several summer payroll schedules, Monday – Friday, beginning July 1, 2024 through August 31, 2024

       

      Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

       

      SALARY:

      Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
